The anime community has been ushered into an era where the grey area between good and evil has expanded enough to birth villains with logical theories and agendas. The age of “heroism” is almost gone, and now the fans believe that an anime is as good as its villain. The audience has pretty much gotten over the boring trope of a guy who can do no wrong, sweeps in to save the girl, and kills the villain, who is on a meaningless killing spree.
