The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon introduced a new concept to the franchise in the series' premiere episode: a savior figure. The abbey of nuns, calling themselves the Union of Hope, believes the boy named Laurent is indeed the future hope for humanity. The circumstances of Laurent's birth -- born of a mother turned by the Wildfire virus during childbirth -- have earned him the title of the Chosen One. Exactly how Laurent is special, though, is still unclear. But In Episode 4, "La Dame de Fer," Daryl experiences a vivid dream where Laurent demonstrates an ability previously unseen in the franchise -- that ability: to impact the behavior of a walker horde.
