Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis is coming to PC via Steam, Square Enix has announced.
As reported by DSOGaming, the previously mobile-only release that launched earlier in September tells the story of a young Sephiroth as part of a chapter-based narrative that covers the full events of Final Fantasy 7, though no release date for the PC version was shared.
"We are actively developing the Steam version so that you can enjoy Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis on PC," Square Enix said in a statement. "You will also be able to share the data you play on the mobile version with the Steam version."
Ever Crisis is a gatcha game, meaning players generally must play a routine of missions daily to unlock new characters and progress steadily through ever-unlocking story content, or spend some real-world money to speed things up.
In our preview of the game, IGN said: "Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis so far checks all the boxes you would expect from a premium gatcha game, but there are definitely some updates that could make the menu interface go a lot smoother."
