The Scissor Sisters' Scott Hoffman recently made his comic book writing debut with the Comixology Originals series Nostalgia. Now IGN can exclusively reveal Hoffman's follow-up project, a "neurodivergent futuristic comic book series" dubbed Wag.
Hoffman appeared at the "Music and Comics Collide" panel at San Diego Comic-Con to reveal the series, which is illustrated by Juan Bobillo (She-Hulk), lettered by Steve Wands and features covers and design work by Rian Hughes.

Like Nostalgia, Wag is a digital-first series exclusive to the Comixology platform. Here's Comixology's official description for the series:
Wag, a loner in a post-apocalyptic world, hears voices in his head. Could it be some kind of implant from the days before everything collapsed, or has he been slowly losing his mind ever since the pills ran out? With the aid of an ever-growing band of oddballs, Wag sets out on a quest to discover the source of his troubles – confronting strange and deadly enemies along the way.
Hoffman tells IGN, “As with Nostalgia, I wanted to pay homage to the mountains of inspiration that fuel me, in this case everything from visionary post-apocalyptic manga/anime to the insular, psychedelic world of Alan Moore's Swamp Thing to the brutalism of Mad Max, The Road and everything in between.”
Wag #1 will debut on Comixology on September 5, 2023. New chapters of Wag will be released weekly. Like all Comixology Originals titles, Wag will be free to read for subscribers of Comixology Unlimited, Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading, and the series can also be purchased individually.
In other Comic-Con news, Marvel is reviving the Superior Spider-Man, while DC and Legendary revealed a crossover comic called Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong. You can also brush up on everything announced at SDCC so far.
