Strange Adventures blew readers' socks off. Written by Tom King with art by Mitch Gerads and Evan "Doc" Shaner, the story followed Silver Age sci-fi legend Adam Strange and his wife Alanna. The two had returned to Earth after saving Alanna's homeworld of Rann from a savage group of aliens known as the Pyykts, and greeted like conquering heroes. The adulation giving way to intrigue as members of the Justice League didn't like the answers they were getting from the Stranges about what really happened. As Mister Terrific investigates them, the Pykkts show up on Earth.
