The popular horror comic True Believers is back for Round 2, and this time some familiar faces are stopping by. True Believers #2 will feature cameos from several true legends of the horror genre, including the ultimate scream queen herself, Jamie Lee Curtis.

Check out the slideshow gallery below to see cover art for True Believers #2, including an exclusive first glimpse of the Jamie Lee Curtis-themed variant cover by Matthew Therrien:

True Believers #2 is set a year after the events of the first issue, again taking place at the fictional Colorado Festival of Horror. A new masked murderer has adopted the Killr™ identity, but are they just a copycat or someone with an agenda all their own. All we know for sure is that none of the celebrity guest stars in this issue are safe so long as Killr™ is on the loose.

True Believers is written by Stephen Graham Jones and Joshua Viola, with art by Ben Matsuya. Cover art for issue #2 is handled by Matsuya and Matthew Therrien, Skinner, GWAR’s Matt Maguire and Luigi Scarcella of Half Sumo.

“We're incredibly honored to have iconic Scream Queen — Jamie Lee Curtis — featured in our slasher tale,” said Viola in a statement. “As a special treat for fans, we're offering limited Jamie Lee Curtis variant covers by Matthew Therrien. But it's more than just a cool cover. For every purchase of her variant, I will personally match that amount and donate it to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, in support of Jamie's charity, My Hand In Yours. Your contribution to the campaign will make a significant difference in the lives of critically ill & injured children.”

As with the first issue, True Believers #2 is being crowdfunded on Kickstarter. Higher pledge tiers include rewards like a 30-minute original score composed by Trivium's Matthew Kiichi Heafy, a latex Killr™ mask, a signed Les Paul guitar and a signed GWAR-themed skate deck.

In other comic book news, Marvel's X-Men '97 prequel has its own Sad Wolverine meme, and we've got an exclusive preview of this year's Stranger Things FCBD 2024 story.
