Yes, in the universe of space exploration, there are battles to be fought, wars to win, and enemies to face, but at the core of it all is discovery and the interpersonal relationships between different species. War and battle are backdrops, settings for the actions of humans and alien races to take place. They push people to their limits and show what can truly be done in times of desperation and need.
