Naruto characters are some of the most recognizable animated characters of all time. The depth in even unimportant side characters' backstories shows the level of thought and planning behind the series. As long as the anime is, Naruto still doesn't cover all the character backstories fans want to see animated. However, a spinoff series featuring some fan favorites could increase the franchise's popularity and give the closure Boruto failed to give.
