Several light-hearted and hilarious anime series focus on the friendship between two children, such as School Babysitters and Teasing Master Takagi-san. Yet, there is one childhood friend-focused anime that is deserving of attention: My Clueless First Friend. The series is set in elementary school: a shy Goth girl named Akane Nishimura befriends the new transfer student, Taiyo Takada. Taiyo finds Akane amazing because there is a rumor that she has supernatural abilities. However, Taiyo doesn't realize that Akane is bullied by her peers for being "different."
