The Doom Patrol has always stood out from the rest of the DC Universe, with a deeply weird history that separates its unique elements from the rest of the superhero genre. As a result, many of the world's more traditional heroes are somewhat standoffish from the odd team, avoiding team-ups and most other interactions.
