Few franchises pack more '80s nostalgia than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Masters of the Universe. Now, at long last, Paramount and Mattel have gotten together to merge these two iconic properties into one. Cue Turtles of Grayskull.
Masters of the Universe Origins: Turtles of Grayskull is a new line of action figures that thrusts the Turtles and their enemies into the world of Eternia, complete with relevant costume makeovers. Get a closer look at the new figures in the slideshow gallery below:
The full lineup of Turtles of Grayskull figures includes:
- Leonardo
- Donatello
- Mutagen Mutation He-Man
- Man-At-Arms
- Krang
- Mouse-Jaw
These figures are part of the Masters of the Universe Origins line, which focuses on 5-inch figures modeled after the original MotU toys but with modern articulation. With any luck, this wave will be followed by a second series that includes figures of Michelangelo, Raphael, Shredder and more Masters of the Universe characters. It also remains to be seen if the Turtles of Grayskull concept will expand beyond the toys and into the comic book or animated realms. Fingers crossed.
The Turtles of Grayskull line should start hitting store shelves in January 2024.
