You can check out all the big news below, including a first look at Michelle Yeoh as Emperor Philippa Georgiou in Star Trek: Section 31, Star Trek: Voyager's Doctor and more reprising their roles for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, a clip from Strange New World's third season of the crew turning into Vulcans, and a teaser trailer and premiere date for Lower Decks' fifth and final season.
Star Trek: Section 31 Teaser Shows Michelle Yeoh Back In Action as Emperor Philippa Georgiou
Paramount+ revealed the teaser trailer for Star Trek: Section 31, its upcoming original movie starring Academy Award-winner Michelle Yeoh as Emperor Philippa Georgiou.
Yeoh first appeared as Georgiou in Star Trek: Discovery's first season, and this movie will see her joining a secret division of Starfleet called Section 31 to protect the United Federation of Planets. However, she will also have to "face the sins of her past," which are many.
Joining Yeoh will be also stars Omari Hardwick (Power), Kacey Rohl (Hannibal), Emmy-winner Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso), Sven Ruygrok (One Piece), Robert Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Humberly Gonzalez (Ginny & Georgia) and James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry).
For those unfamiliar, Discovery saw her portray both Starfleet Captain Philipa Georgiou and a brutal and cunning emperor from a parallel universe where a xenophobic militaristic humanity was running the show. After the Starfleet Captain version met her end, the Emperor version was convinced to come to the other universe and act as her other self.
We will also get to see another version of the character, as the trailer showed a first look at a young Philippa Georgiou played by Kate's Miku Martineau.

Star Trek: Stange New Worlds Season 3 Clip Shows Members of the Enterprise Turning Into Vulcans
While fans will have to wait until 2025 for Season 3 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Paramount+ has helped with the wait at SDCC with an extended clip of a scene from a new episode.
In the clip, Captain Pike, Christine Chapel, La'an Noonien-Singh, Nyota Uhura, and Pelia are given a Kerkhovian Serum to turn them into Vulcans for a mission. While it doesn't work for Pelia, the other four succesfully transform and remind Spock he is only half Vulcan. They quickly complete their mission, but soon after discover the serum is not turning them back.
It was also revealed at Star Trek's SDCC panel that In From the Cold's Dr. Roger Korby will be joining the fun in Season 3 as a guest star. If that name sounds familiar, it's because Michael Strong first played him in Star Trek: The Original Series.

Star Trek: Lower Decks is ending after its next season, and Paramount+ released a new trailer for the animated series at SDCC. After that, a new episode will drop each week until the finale airs on Thursday, December 19.
As for what Season 5 will be about, Paramount+ has shared a bit about what fans can expect.
"In season five of STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos is tasked with closing 'space potholes' - subspace rifts which are causing chaos in the Alpha Quadrant," the official description reads. "Pothole duty would be easy for Jr. Officers Mariner, Boimler, Tendi and Rutherford...if they didn’t also have to deal with an Orion war, furious Klingons, diplomatic catastrophes, murder mysteries and scariest of all: their own career aspirations. This upcoming season on Paramount+ is a celebration of this underdog crew who are dangerously close to being promoted out of the lower decks and into strange new Starfleet roles."
