The Doctor is one Time Lord who doesn't like the thought of settling down. Since Doctor Who began back in 1963, the Doctor has been flying through time and space, never staying in one place or keeping the same companions. The character's alien nature is never more apparent than in their inability to truly share their life with anyone else.
