Baldur's Gate III has the gaming world in a stranglehold. It managed to sweep a ton of recognition at the Golden Joystick Awards and even secured the coveted Game of the Year title at The Game Awards. It isn't a mystery as to why, either — the game has been lauded, rightfully so, as a masterpiece. Not only did it come out extremely functional and with no microtransactions, but Baldur's Gate III also has an incredibly well-crafted story and deep characters for players to get to know and enjoy. Both of these things are not as common as they should be in the gaming world lately, so Baldur's Gate III felt like a breath of fresh air.
