Daredevil originally debuted in Daredevil #1 in 1964. Written by Stan Lee with art from Bill Everett, the character has enjoyed incredible longevity within the comic book industry. Although he was introduced with the classic yellow costume, that iconic red look has become synonymous with the character. Some of the best narratives in Marvel history involved Matt Murdock in the lead role, and the hero's key traits are so well-defined that it's easy to jump in on his comic runs at any point.
