Youtuber Sean McLoughlin, better known as Jacksepticeye, recently made the jump to comic book publishing with a one-shot special called Altrverse #0. Now that this new multiverse has been established, the Altrverse is expanding with the release of two new, full-length issues, Void Silver #1 and The Somewhat Incredible Jackie-Boy Man #1.
IGN can exclusively reveal new details and artwork for both series. Read on to learn more about what to expect from Void Silver and The Somewhat Incredible Jackie-Boy Man.
Void Silver
Creative Team: Jacksepticeye, Alejandro Arbona, Suzi Blake, Andrew Dalhouse & Dave Sharpe
Magic exists alongside science and technology, and its practitioners dwell in every strata of modern society. Exceptional even among these exceptional individuals is the preternaturally gifted…the iconoclastic…the sarcastic and short-tempered…Marvin the Magnificent!
The Somewhat Incredible Jackie-Boy Man
Creative Team: Jacksepticeye, James Asmus, Megan Huang & Dave Sharpe
A long time ago, in a galax—no, wait. Gifted with Great Power and Great Respon--nope. Not that either. After a lifetime of fandom and fantasy, Jackie was caught in a strange, cosmic cock-up that gave him amazing powers! …Or at least, ‘fairly impressive physical abilities’? Now, inspired by the kinds of heroes from his favorite comics, anime, and video games, he’s trying to be a real-life super hero in an otherwise ordinary world, as the somewhat incredible JACKIE-BOY MAN!
Both comics will go up for pre-order on Monday, April 22 on the Bad Egg Publishing website. Each is priced at $5.00 for the digital edition, $15.00 for the standard print version and $20 for the exclusive foil cover. The foil covers will only be available for preorder until April 30. The books will begin shipping on May 15.
In other comic book news, the Avengers are about to cross over with the Aliens universe, and we've got an exclusive preview of IDW's Batman: Year One Artist's Edition hardcover.
