The Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds documentary hits Disney+ today, February 23.
Telling the story of the famed developer's opening of Kojima Productions through to the launch of its first game, Death Stranding, the documentary features contributions from the likes of George Miller, Guillermo del Toro, Nicolas Winding Refn, Grimes, Woodkid, Churches, Mamoru Oshii, Shinji Mikami, Shinya Tsukamoto, and Norman Reedus.
"Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds takes you on a journey into the creative mind of the most iconic video game creator in the world," reads the official blurb. "Widely regarded as the first auteur of video games, this visually captivating documentary gives a rare insight into Hideo Kojima's creative process as he launches his own independent studio.

Kojima Productions has expanded its portfolio considerably since releasing Death Stranding as it now has three games in development alongside this documentary and a Death Stranding film.
A sequel to its first release, called Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, is expected in 2025, while two more obscure entries are also coming. OD is being developed with Xbox Game Studios and Physint is being developed with Sony Interactive Entertainment.
