Jujutsu Kaisen has long since established itself as a brutal and grim shonen fantasy story, hence its inclusion in Shonen Weekly Jump's "Dark Trio" alongside Chainsaw Man and Hell's Paradise. Jujutsu Kaisen contains brutal death scenes, moments of sheer horror with its curses, and plenty of drama courtesy of complex characters like the Zenin sisters, Toji Fushiguro, and other powerful individuals. Anime like Jujutsu Kaisen can defuse their tension through moments of sheer comedy as well as heartfelt romance, but at this rate, Jujutsu Kaisen should only do the former.
