Ever since the first Venom movie in 2018 (and especially in its 2021 sequel), the Sony films starring Tom Hardy have leaned into the sillier side of the notorious Spider-Man character. But one portion of the first full trailer for Venom: The Last Dance is, well, actually pretty darn cool, according to fans.
The trailer debuted yesterday, previewing all sorts of shenanigans Hardy's Eddie Brock and his alien symbiote partner will face as they're hunted by both of their worlds. But one scene in particular has caught the eye of fans: at the end of the trailer, Eddie and Venom encounter a horse, and Eddie asks, "Be honest with me: how fast do you think you can get that thing to go without killing it?"
As Venom responds aggressively, there's "only one way to find out," which leads to... well, you can just watch the madness below. Basically, Venom takes over the horse, and the so-called "Venom Horse" is born.
Silliness aside, the immediate reaction to the symbiote horse is that it's well, actually pretty sick. "venom horse is unironically more raw than anything the mcu has produced in the last 2 years," wrote one X/Twitter user.
im not gonna lie i think venom horse has to be the coolest thing ive ever seen pic.twitter.com/w2gOcLo2QR

Some have cited "Venom horse" as the main reason they'd head out to theaters for the trilogy-capper, as it's "undeniably cool as hell." Jokes aside, there's been some real appreciation for the symbiote horse's actually-pretty-badass design.
Seriously, the trailer's only been out for a day, and there's already some impressive fanart. (I will make no comment on the "Vorse" nickname.)

Whether you view him as silly or badass, "Venom Horse" is absolutely a hit, and one of the major points of chatter surrounding yesterday's trailer. Elsewhere, fans are also scratching their heads over what could be a continuity error in the Venom: The Last Dance trailer, potentially causing a conflict with the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
We'll learn more about Venom Horse — and, you know, everything else featured in the trailer, but mostly Venom Horse — when Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters on October 25, 2024.
