Just over 20 years ago, the Wachowskis introduced the incredible world of The Matrix to moviegoers, and the 1999 original movie became an instant classic. It featured cool sci-fi tropes, thought-provoking themes about reality and humanity, cutting-edge special effects, and certainly some great action sequences. The Matrix trilogy is sci-fi at heart, but these movies have strong action/thriller elements to them, too.
