Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is the first entry in the series in ten years. Many fans were worried that the intervening years of the Dark Souls trilogy and the overwhelming success of Elden Ring would mean changing the beloved, long-lost franchise. Despite all the time spent away from the mech action series, FromSoftware has made a game that keeps true to its origins with screens chock-full of stats, and countless weapons and parts battle the ruthless enemies on Rubicon 3. However, FromSoftware took more than one lesson from their time making action RPGs over the last ten years and it makes for an interesting mix with the more frantic, mech action that used to be their bread and butter.
