When the legendary Dan DeCarlo became a full-time freelancer at Archie Comics in the 1960s, he quickly introduced a number of major new characters for the company, from Sabrina the Teenage Witch to Josie (of Josie and the Pussycats fame). Another longstanding character he introduced at that time that doesn't get quite as much attention is Jingles, the Christmas Brownie who visits Archie and the gang every year. In recent years, Archie Comics have begun to introduce Jingles equivalents for other seasons, like the Halloween spirits, Trick and Treat.
