Vegeta has resented Goku’s overwhelming power and friends ever since they first met, but this animosity has gradually evolved into a respectful friendship. No one can better motivate Goku and Vegeta than Goku and Vegeta, and much of Dragon Ball features their efforts to match and surpass the other’s milestones. This dynamic has become one of Dragon Ball’s most entertaining elements. It pushed both characters to grow in unexpected ways, especially in Dragon Ball Super’s post-Tournament of Power material.
