If you haven’t given Disney Plus a chance — or even if you have, but canceled your subscription — now’s a great time to (re)consider the streaming service. Through Sept. 27, both new and returning customers can subscribe to the Disney Plus basic tier and get three months for around $6 (i.e. $1.99 per month), which should set you up until just before Christmas. The Disney Plus Basic tier currently costs $7.99 per month but will increase to $9.99 per month starting mid-October, meaning this deal will save you about $24 in all.
The Disney Plus Basic tier includes the full library of the TV series and movies from its flagship brands like Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and yes, Disney itself — a collection of historic childhood classics, modern darlings, and some gems you wouldn’t necessarily think of watching at first blush, but are absolutely worth your time. Our only-slightly-less-obvious picks: Peter Jackson’s The Beatles: Get Back and the restored Let It Be documentary, The Muppet Show, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit — plus Andor and Loki, of course.
Note that this Basic tier deal includes ads and excludes the ability to download episode for on-the-go viewing. It also doesn’t apply to bundles, which means no adding Hulu or Max to this deal (which already offers a pretty steep discount when you get those three services bundled together).
