Frank Miller's name is probably most closely associated with dark, brooding superhero stories like The Dark Knight Returns and Daredevil: Born Again and the gritty noir hellscape of Sin City. He's not the sort of creator one would expect to tackle a YA fantasy series. But that's exactly what Miller has done with Pandora.

With Frank Miller's Pandora: Book 1 hitting stores now, IGN can debut an exclusive preview of this graphic novel. Check it out in the slideshow gallery below:

Frank Miller's Pandora is co-written by Miller and Star Trek: Discovery's Anthony Maranville and Chris Silvestri, while Emma Kubert (Inkblot) illustrates the book. Here's the official description for Book 1:

Annabeth is an endlessly curious fifteen-year-old girl. Unpopular at school, unhappy at home, and struggling to feel like she belongs, everything changes for her when she stumbles across a flower-shaped relic with the power to warp reality. Determined to change her dissatisfying everyday life, Annabeth uses her newfound powers to transform the world around her — and as she does, she sows the seeds of impending chaos in her wake.

This graphic novel collects all six issues of the series, along with bonus material like concept art, making-of material, and variant covers by Miller, Andy Kubert, and Theresa Kubert.

Frank Miller's Pandora: Book 1 is priced at $24.99 and will be available in bookstores on October 8 and comic shops on October 9. You can order a copy on Amazon.

IGN also recently got an exclusive look at Frank Miller's Ronin Rising, which also hits stores this week. For more on what's hitting stores this month, check out the Biggest New Comic releases of October 2024.
