What time does Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC release in your time zone?

After over a year of console exclusivity, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is swinging to PC. Insomniac’s third stand-alone Spider-Man game tells the tale of Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they deal with a new symbiote menace that both infects our beloved hero and introduces a new threat to New York: Venom.

In this guide, we’ll cover when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releases on PC, if the game is Steam Deck verified, and if you’ll need a PlayStation account to play.

Spider-Man 2 release time on PC

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will come to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on Jan. 30. Sony and Insomniac Games haven’t announced an official release time yet, but going off of when PlayStation Studios released God of War Ragnarok’s PC port in 2024, it could appear on the store pages around 11 a.m. EST. Here’s when that is in your time zone:

• 8 a.m. PST for the West Coast of North America
• 11 a.m. EST for the East Coast of North America
• 4 p.m. GMT for the U.K.
• 5 p.m. CET for Western Europe/Paris
• 1 a.m. JST on Jan. 31 for Tokyo

We’ll update this post if PlayStation Studios or Insomniac Games reveal an exact release time for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC.

Does Spider-Man 2 PC require a PlayStation account?

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC does require you to login with a PlayStation Network account before you play.

While these accounts are free to acquire, this kind of thing has irked PC players in the past (with games like Helldivers 2), so consider if that’s a deal breaker before you pick it up.

Is Spider-Man 2 PC Steam Deck verified?

It’s currently unclear if Spider-Man 2 will be verified on Steam Deck at launch. However, most of Sony’s other big, single player outings are verified for Steam Deck, most notably the other two Spider-Man games from Insomniac — the original and Miles Morales.

Polygon has reached out to Sony inquiring about Spider-Man 2’s playability on Steam Deck, and we’ll update this post if we hear back.
