Jujutsu Kaisen follows the story of Yuji Itadori, a teenage boy who is forcibly introduced to the world of jujutsu sorcery after he consumes one of the most powerful cursed objects in existence — a finger belonging to the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna. However, the beginning of the series' second season actually begins with a flashback that takes place 12 years before the events of its core narrative, providing some much-needed backstory for the world's strongest sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, and the previous generation of jujutsu sorcerers.
