Considering its premise, it's no surprise that The Hunger Games features a lot of death. Not only do 23 kids die in the annual televised battle royale, but the people in the poorer districts, like District 12, also face starvation and dangerous working conditions just in their everyday lives. On top of that, resistance against the Games leads to a civil war in Panem, during which many people die. But there are still plenty of characters who manage to survive the conflict.
