Starting today, Amazon is offering this Dumo 48"x24" Electric Standing Desk for a mere $79.45 shipped. This is easily one of the least expensive electric standing desks we've seen, and it has more features than you'd expect from the budget price, like memory presets and a pull-out keyboard tray.
Dumo Electric Standing Desk for $79.45
The Dumo 48x24" electric standing desk includes a spliced desktop surface. Spliced desktops are divided into two halves for easier shipping, which means there's a seam that runs down the middle of your table top once it is put together. It shouldn't be an issue for most people, but if it does bother you, you can always put on your own desktop. Getting a frame itself for under $80 is still an outstanding deal.
Speaking of the frame, the Dumo electric standing desk features a single motor that runs at a speed of 0.8"/second at under 55db of noise, with a vertical range of 28.7" to 48". The frame supports a generous 176 pounds of weight, thanks to the solid steel legs and integrated cross brace to prevent sagging.
Normally for a budget desk like this you'd expect a simple 2-button control panel with no extra features. However, this desk actually has a more fully featured control panel with three memory presets, a child lock (a feature that some high end desk companies like Jarvis don't always include), and an LED digital display giving you your exact standing desk height. Other amenities include a pull-out keyboard tray, cable grommet holes to neatly route your wires, and two headphone hooks.
The desk comes flat packed so you'll have to assemble it yourself. Having installed well over a dozen of these desks, I can say for certain that it's not difficult at all. The hardest part is definitely just having enough guys (or enough arm strength) to flip the desk over. Almost every desk installs in roughly the same way, and this Dumo desk is likely to be no different. Frankly the price is pretty incredible for the versatility of an ESD. Just a few years ago, these desks would cost at least $300 or more, so it's pretty mind boggling that you can pick one up, complete with tabletop, for well under $100.
