Netflix has revealed The Umbrella Academy will return for its fourth and final season on Thursday, August 8, 2024, while sharing a new batch of character posters teasing the end of the series.
The posters show the Hargreeves clan gearing up to step into the timeline one last time, with images of Elliot Page's Viktor, Tom Hopper's Luther, David Castañeda's Diego, Emmy Raver-Lampman's Allison, Robert Sheehan's Klaus, Justin H. Min's Ben, and Colm Feore as the world's worst father, Sir Reginald Hargreeves.
Aidan Gallagher is also back as Number Five, while Ritu Arya reprises her fan-favourite role as Lila Pitts. Real-life married couple Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally also join the sci-fi series' final season to play sensible spouses Doctors Gene and Jean Thibedeau, alongside David Cross as a shy businessman named Sy Grossman.
Netflix announced the Season 4 renewal for The Umbrella Academy in August 2022, just over two months after the third season premiered on the streaming platform. The next chapter will pick up right where it left off, with the Hargreeves family stripped of their powers and facing new threats in a newly reset universe.
The Umbrella Academy has been hugely popular for Netflix and has received praise from critics across all of its three seasons. IGN gave Season 3 a glowing review, calling it a "great" entry that "tells a more intimate and focused story" bolstered by the strength of "its complicated characters and excellent cast."
