The final act of Justified: City Primeval has made the differences between the FX miniseries and the original Justified particularly clear. While the underlying theme of City Primeval has been Raylan Givens adapting or not adapting to a new time and place, those moments were often more subtle or left unspoken. However, the penultimate episode clearly declared that viewers were watching a new Raylan -- at least for now.
