Captain America: Brave New World kicked off Marvel's San Diego Comic-Con panel with brand-new footage confirming the origin of adamantium in the MCU from the body of Eternals' Celestial Tiamut, the White House being blown up, and so much more.
The footage kicks off in the White House with Harrison Ford's President Thunderbolt Ross presiding over a "historic evening." The reason for the event is to show off the adamantium that was recovered from the body of Tiamut in the middle of the ocean. Yes, that Tiamut from Eternals that many have been waiting for the MCU to deal with.
This is obviously a huge deal, as adamantium is what reinforced Wolverine's skeleton and is a HUGE part of Marvel and X-Men lore. The excitement isn't lost on Kevin Feige either, as he said, "just when I think my nerdy life can't get more complete, I heard Harrison Ford say adamantium."
Ross is then seen talking to Sam and asking him to help rebuild the Avengers. When Sam asks him why he had a change of heart after trying to disband the Avengers in the past, he says the world needs them now.
We then get a look at Giancarlo Esposito, who we now know is playing the leader of the Serpent Society, Seth Voelker aka Sidewinder. He makes quite an impression as the White House is hit with an explosion and is half blown up.
One of the most exciting parts of the footage was the end when we actually see Ross turning into Red Hulk and roaring at the camera. He transforms in the middle of a presidential press conference, and that is sure to have major implications.
