At the center of Foundation, Apple TV+'s ambitious adaptation of Isaac Asimov's highly influential science fiction series, is Gaal Dornick. Played by Lou Llobell, Gaal is the protege of persecuted scientist Hari Seldon (Jared Harris), entrusted with saving the galaxy in defiance of the Galactic Empire after the death of Hari's physical form. Spanning time and space, Season 1 ends with Gaal emerging from stasis, only to find herself face-to-face with her adult daughter Salvor Hardin (Leah Harvey) and a digital version of Hari as the war for the galaxy escalates.
