When Invincible Season 1 ended, non-readers of the comics were left mind-blown. Those familiar with what Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley did with the original Image comic series knew Nolan Grayson was going to show his villainous side. But for those not into the source material, seeing him beat down Mark/Invincible for not wanting to take over Earth for the Viltrumite Empire was certainly a stab in the heart.
