For better and worse, most webcomics are time capsules of the 2000s and 2010s. If the webcomic in question wasn't overly reliant on pop culture references and video game culture, it was most probably an edgy soapbox for its creators. Webcomics that were massive hits just a few years ago aged poorly by today's standards and sensibilities.
