Warning: This article contains spoilers for the Fallout show on Prime Video.

The Fallout TV show features a Vault-Tec phone number that people can call or message to uncover an intriguing Easter egg.

Fallout on Prime Video has a megaton of Easter eggs for fans of Bethesda's popular, post-apocalyptic RPG to find. One of those surprises — involving the Vault-Tec phone number that appears on-screen in Episode 6 — has caused quite a stir on social media as fans try to figure out what, if anything, it could mean.

The phone number is displayed while Cooper Howard (Walter Goggins) hosts an infomercial about the vaults and encourages viewers at home to get in touch to secure a spot in a survival shelter. The number that appears is 213-25-VAULT (213-258-2858) or, if you're a UK resident, 001-213-258-2858. Charges will apply.

Those dialling the number might want to turn the volume down as the person on the other end of the line sounds like they're getting tortured, letting out frantic and agonizing screams until the call disconnects. Messaging the number, however, gets you a more professional (and painless) response from Vault-Tec.

"Thank you for texting Vault-Tec. The next available appointment is 33 weeks from now, please stand by!" it reads, according to posts on X/Twitter. "Congratulations! We may or may not be in touch if an appointment becomes available," a second message says after opting in for recurring marketing and other texts.

Fans are curious whether this covert tidbit is more than a gimmick and is teasing a future Fallout announcement. Some believe the 33-week timeframe in the text message relates to Vault 33. Others think it is dropping a hint that news about the games or TV adaptation will arrive in November (33 weeks from now).

Unfortunately, we won't find out until November, but that gives people plenty of time to get acquainted with the vault map and jump back into the world of the games, including Fallout 4, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 76, all of which are experiencing a resurgence amid the success of the TV show, which debuted on April 10.
