Despite some arguing that Paramount+'s Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is an unnecessary film that adds very little to the beloved Stephen King novel (especially since the significant scare -- the premise of a graveyard that brings the dead back to life in a horrific fashion -- is one that fans are well aware of by now), it does build on the story's original lore by changing and adding a few things here and there. While these modifications can be seen as a boon or a disappointment, depending on the viewer, they present an exciting prospect for the property regarding what's next for the franchise.
