Even though Halloween is still a little more than a month away, Disney is already preparing for spooky season by releasing a version of Werewolf by Night that's in color on Oct. 20 that'll be available on Disney+.
Werewolf by Night is a Halloween special for Disney+, and it originally came out in black-and-white last year in October. According to a press release, the re-release of the short film will now be "presented in vibrant color." Marvel Studios' Werewolf by Night is a homage to the classic Universal monster films that originally came out in the 1930s and 40s.
It tells the story of a group of monster hunters that gather on a "dark and somber night" to meet at a place called the foreboding Bloodstone Temple after their leader dies. In true horror fashion, things take a turn for the worse, and they're forced to compete in a "mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic" that'll eventually lead to a "dangerous monster."
For more, be sure to read our Werewolf by Night review, where Ryan Leston wrote, "Werewolf by Night may not make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, but it will keep you on the edge of your seat with a slow, creeping tone that captures the very best of classic horror."
