Early in The Lord of the Rings, the Fellowship traveled to the Elven realm of Lothlórien. There, Lady Galadriel gifted them cloaks and leaf-shaped brooches called the Leaves of Lórien. In the chapter "Farewell to Lórien" from the novel version of The Fellowship of the Ring, J. R. R. Tolkien described a Leaf of Lórien as "a green leaf veined with silver." While not magical objects like some of The Lord of the Rings' jewelry, the Leaves of Lórien were just as significant.
