The PDP Riffmaster guitar controller gets its first discount

Unless you still have any of your old Rock Band gear taking up space in a closet somewhere, the PDP Riffmaster guitar controller is the only way to play Fortnite Festival the way the good lord intended. Just in case you’ve disposed of your old axe when the band broke up, you can currently pick up a new Riffmaster controller for Xbox or PlayStation for just $109.99 from Amazon or Best Buy (was $129.99).

The Riffmaster features a layout that will be familiar to Rock Band veterans, including solo buttons and a whammy bar, but it also includes a built-in analog stick behind the head of the instrument in addition to a 3.5 mm audio jack for private listening. And, because nobody likes putting their weird plastic guitar on permanent display, the Riffmaster folds in half at the base of the neck for easy storage.

While the Riffmaster isn’t the only plastic guitar controller currently in production, it’s easily the best. The Xbox version of the controller is even compatible with Windows PC, so you can use it with emulators like Clone Hero to jam to all of your favorite songs that never made it onto the official tracklists for Guitar Hero or Rock Band.
