When CBS's Fire Country debuted in Fall 2022, it was another in a long line of shows about first responders on many networks. Shows like Chicago Fire, 9-1-1, and 9-1-1: Lone Star paved the way for CBS's new drama, and Fire Country took that runway and leaped forward. In just one season, Fire Country averaged 8.4 million viewers, an increase in its 9 pm Friday timeslot by 14%. Based loosely on the real Cal Fire and their Conservation Camp Program, Fire Country is the story of the Leone family, who are Cal Fire royalty. Division Chief Sharon Leone (Diane Farr, who also spent two seasons on Rescue Me, Denis Leary's firefighter-focused drama that ran for 7 Seasons on FX) and Battalion Chief Vince Leone (Billy Burke) run things in the small town of Edgewater, which is home to Three Rock Fire Camp, a branch of California's Conservation Camp Program for incarcerated firefighters hoping to reduce their sentence -- one of whom is the Leone's son, Bode (Max Thierot, previously of CBS' SEAL Team).
