Disney+ has confirmed that Percy Jackson and the Olympians will be getting a second season.
The news was announced during Disney's Q1 FY24, and Percy Jackson author Rick Riordan shared a few words to commemorate the moment via Disney's Instagram.
"I can’t wait to bring the next season of Percy Jackson to @DisneyPlus! Raise anchors. Hoist the mainsail. All hands on deck, demigods. We’re heading for the Sea of Monsters!" Riordan wrote.
Percy Jackson and the Olympian's first season recently ended and we said it "adds itself to the pantheon of YA adaptations with a competent yet bumpy first season of television that succeeds in both fan service and welcoming new audiences."
The series premiered to a record-breaking 13.3 million viewers and will soon get another chance to bring in viewers to the series that began as a book series that will have seven novels in it come September 2024 with the launch of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Wrath of the Triple Goddess.
