Doctor Who's fourth special in honor of its 60th anniversary ended the year with a bang. After bi-generating and bidding the Fourteenth Doctor (David Tennant) and Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) goodbye in the previous special, the Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) set off on his first solo adventure just in time for Christmas. "The Church on Ruby Road" introduced fans to his new companion, Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson), as well as her family and friends. Audiences were instantly endeared to Ruby, her mother and her grandmother, but one character who undoubtedly stole the show was their feisty neighbor, Mrs. Flood (Anita Dobson).
