Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes continues the franchise's reboot series that began in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, though it's not a direct sequel in the traditional sense. Set long after the passing of former ape leader Caesar, Kingdom is set to take things in a somewhat different direction. Thankfully for fans of the series, this won't mean that the material is watered down or kid-friendly.
