The shopping season has already begun at several retailers, but Amazon has just laid out its plans for Black Friday 2023. Amazon’s Black Friday event will start Friday, November 17 and continue through November 24, the date actual Black Friday falls on this year.
Following that, Amazon’s Cyber Monday sale event will kick off on Saturday, November 25 and run through Monday, November 27. In recent years, the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals tend to run together in a blur over the weekend, as popular items sell out and restock in time for Cyber Monday.
With the announcement, Amazon joins other retailers that have already announced their own sale schedule; see the Best Buy Black Friday deals and Walmart Black Friday deals for more information on their plans and schedules.
As for what items Amazon plans to discount this year, the announcement casts a wide net. It mentions brands ranging from LEGO to Peloton to Le Creuset. As for categories, specific call-outs include electronics, home, fashion, toys, and Amazon devices. You can almost certainly plan to see lots of Apple Black Friday discounts as well.
Longtime Black Friday shoppers know that pretty much every product category Amazon carries will see discounts. Some of the deals will last throughout the Black Friday sale event. Others, like Amazon’s Lightning deals, will be limited-time discounts that pop up and remain either until they expire or sell out. You can find discount percentages for various categories of items in Amazon’s announcement.
Amazon also announced that anyone with an Amazon account will be able to stream the New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins NFL game via Prime Video on November 24.
