The threatening silhouette of Tyrannosaurus rex bones is all that is needed to conjure up the entire world of Jurassic Park these days. The towering carnivore immediately brings to mind Isla Nublar, mosquitoes in amber, and the thrill of meeting exotic creatures from an era humans were never meant to experience. Yet while the T. rex graces most pieces of Jurassic Park merchandise, there's a different dinosaur that really pervades the Jurassic Park franchise: the Velociraptor. Velociraptors have gone from one of the main threats of the original Jurassic Park movie to companions, like Blue, in the newer Jurassic World sequel trilogy.
