As Judge Lola Carmichael celebrates her birthday, All Rise introduces new challenges to make up for finally resolving the Carl Brewer story and hopefully putting the kibosh on Lola's love triangle. Amy Quinn is representing the head chef at a favorite sushi restaurant, who stands accused of trying to murder his sous chef; Hiroto admits that he and Paolo argued about Hiroto's decision to hand control of the restaurant to his daughter instead of Paolo. Meanwhile, Mark Callan gets a visit from District Attorney Louis Bravo to resolve another dangling plot thread: since Mark took half a season to pick a new Head Deputy D.A., Bravo has overruled him.
