Did you know that listening to the Halo 2 soundtrack is a great way to recover from the U.S. election? It’s true. If you’re a true fan of the Halo series — especially of the original trilogy — Laced Records has arranged an awesome LP box set that’s currently available to pre-order. It’s been over a decade since the soundtracks for these games were first put on wax, but now it’s back in this limited edition package that’s coming in April 2025.

The full box set contains 83 tracks composed by Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori for the first three Halo titles spread across eight LPs, costing $169.99. If you have a favorite game and would rather just get one vinyl, the double LP for Halo: Combat Evolved is available for $37.99, while the triple LPs for Halo 2 and Halo 3 cost $54.99 each.

Each album features original sleeve artwork made by Isaac Hannaford, a concept artist who worked on Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Reach. This collection doesn’t include tracks from Halo 3: ODST, or the licensed songs from the Halo 2 soundtrack (sorry, Hoobastank and Breaking Benjamin fans). However, the immaculate vibes put out by this collection of instrumentals are enough to bring back memories for any Halo fan, from the Gregorian chants of the main menu theme, to the cool synths of personal favorite, “Under Cover of Night.”

If you can’t wait until April 2025, Laced Records has already accumulated a substantial collection of vinyl-pressed soundtracks from iconic titles like Homeworld Remastered, Doom 2016, Quake 2, and Metal Gear Solid, to name a few.
