Star Trek: Strange New Worlds opens its hotly anticipated Star Trek: Lower Decks crossover with a little Easter egg. Its title sequence is animated in the same manner as its sister series, with a cartoon version of the USS Enterprise zipping across alien landscapes. That includes a few overt components in the Lower Decks opening, notably a giant alien creature suckling at one of the ship's nacelles. It ends with the image of a koala formed from stellar gas, which Lower Decks uses in its version of the Star Trek franchise opening.
