Directed by Danny Boyle, the film 28 Days Later unfolds 28 days after the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the citizens of London, and later, the world, into rage-infected zombies. While the infected pose a significant threat, the film also highlights the darker aspects of human nature. In traditional zombie narratives, the primary threat is typically the zombies themselves. However, in 28 Days Later, humanity, and more specifically, the military, emerges as the true threat in the film.
